where the wild things are

Posted on 2nd November 2009 in Feature

Framestore did it again! After an endless journey through various studios due to various reasons it finally has arrived. The mother of early age anarchy, the thruth about being insolent and still get away with a warm meal. If you don’t have a frikkin clue, meet the wild things. I was lucky to work on this movie, although it only lasted for 4 months. Doing some Pipeline stuff like auto comp, etc. I managed to lit around 10 shots. Not much, but still gives me a smile on mah’ face…

kinski revisited…

Posted on 11th August 2007 in news

I’m very lucky to know, that Kinki Revisited will be screened at this year’s Siggraph Computer Animation Festival in San Diego. Besides being screened as part of the Animation Theater program the Kinski trailer is also part of the Animation Theater teaser which will be screened in the Electronic Theater. I myself won’t be at the Siggraph, but I hope you have a chance to watch the trailer, and, by any chance, enjoy…

new reel online!

Posted on 9th August 2007 in news

In the reel section you can find my updated demoreel. It shows recent work as a lighting technical director eg. on Kinski Revisited as part of the research project ‘Artificial Actors’ of the Filmakademie Baden-Wüttemberg. I did shading, lighting and rendering on this project. Lars Demel has developed a dynamic displacement toolset for easy animation of signature wrinkles, etc.

You can donwload a facial animation toolset called Adaptable Facial Setup from the research website which comes with nonlinear deformation and an easy to setup workflow. After a short registration process you can download the toolset for free!!
